Karta AI Raises $3 Million to Expand Voice AI for Financial Services

Karta AI, a Bengaluru-based voice AI startup, has raised $3 million in a seed funding round led by PeerCapital and Cedar Hill Capital. The round also saw participation from WYSER, CDM Capital and Seedstars. The company plans to use the fresh capital to strengthen its voice AI technology and expand its presence across the financial services sector.

Founded in 2024 by Vijaypal Singh and Abhishek Kushwaha, Karta AI builds AI-powered voice agents for banks, lenders, fintech companies and insurance providers. Its platform focuses on handling inbound customer calls, helping financial institutions automate complex queries rather than relying solely on conventional voice bots that answer basic questions.

The platform is designed to understand customer context, manage multiple requests within a single conversation and take action through integrations with enterprise systems. According to the company, its technology handles around two million conversations every month across more than 25 languages.

Karta AI plans to invest the funding in improving end-to-end automation, strengthening multilingual capabilities and expanding deployments with financial institutions. The company is also looking to grow its engineering and go-to-market teams as it works to scale its operations.

As financial institutions explore AI to improve customer service and manage growing call volumes, Karta AI is positioning itself around a more advanced approach to voice automation: helping resolve customer requests from start to finish, rather than simply responding to queries.
