QwikPrint Is Making Everyday Printing Faster And More Accessible

Printing documents is a routine need for students, professionals and businesses, but accessing a printer is not always convenient. Long queues, tight deadlines and limited shop hours can turn a simple task into an unnecessary delay. QwikPrint, founded by Pranav Senthil and Subeshwar P, is working to change that experience through automated, self-service printing kiosks.

An Everyday Problem That Inspired An Idea

The idea behind QwikPrint came from the founders’ own experiences as students. Long waiting times at campus printing shops often made it difficult to get documents printed when they were needed. In another instance, the challenge of finding a printer late at night highlighted how inaccessible the service could be outside regular business hours.

Rather than treating these inconveniences as unavoidable, the founders saw an opportunity to make printing more accessible. Their vision was to create a system that offered the simplicity of an ATM, allowing people to complete the process independently without relying on shop staff.

QwikPrint launched in June 2025 with this idea at its core: making everyday printing quicker, simpler and available when people need it.

How QwikPrint’s Innovation Works

QwikPrint replaces the conventional, staff-dependent printing process with an automated experience. Users scan a QR code, upload their documents, select their preferred print settings, make a digital payment and collect their printouts using an OTP.

This approach reduces the need to wait at a counter or depend on a shop assistant to process an order. The self-service format is designed to offer greater convenience, particularly in places where students and professionals frequently need printed documents.

The innovation is not simply about placing printers in more locations. It is about redesigning how people access a familiar service. By combining digital payments, document uploads and automated collection, QwikPrint aims to make printing more flexible and accessible throughout the day.

Expanding Beyond Campus Printing

While educational institutions offer a natural starting point, the model has potential applications in offices, hostels, hospitals and other high-footfall locations. These are environments where people may need forms, applications, reports or other documents at short notice.

QwikPrint’s expansion strategy also includes a franchise-led approach, creating opportunities for partners to operate kiosks in suitable locations. This could help the company extend its reach without relying entirely on company-operated outlets.

As it grows, the startup’s challenge will be to maintain reliable service, ensure convenient kiosk placement and build user trust around document handling and payments.

Building A New Printing Experience

QwikPrint is addressing a small but recurring problem with a technology-led solution. Its approach demonstrates how everyday services can be redesigned around convenience, automation and self-service access.

By taking printing beyond traditional shops and bringing it closer to where people study and work, the startup is aiming to make an ordinary task less time-consuming. Its next phase will depend on how effectively it scales its kiosk network and turns occasional users into regular customers.
