DUSQ: How Three Indian Founders Built the World’s First Deep Sleep Regulation Wearable

For years, wearables have only offered passive data. We check our rings and smartwatches in the morning, receiving data scores that confirm how poorly we slept without actually fixing the problem.

DUSQ (formerly InnerGize) is disrupting this paradigm. Founded by celebrity doctor Dr. Siddhant Bhargava, neuro-physiologist Shalmali Kadu, and hardware expert Mitansh Khurana, this health-tech startup is shifting the industry from passive tracking to active biological sleep regulation.

From Observation to Intervention

The core philosophy behind DUSQ is simple: your device should keep you asleep, not just watch you sleep.

Bypassing the wrist, DUSQ uses a featherlight 12-gram patch worn behind the ear. By tracking Electrodermal Activity (EDA), it listens directly to the autonomic nervous system. When it detects any of the micro-disruptions that fragment our rest, it automatically delivers targeted Vagus and Vestibular Nerve Stimulation (VeNS+VNS). This gentle biometric nudge guides the brain back into deep sleep before you ever wake up.

Clinical Success and Global Expansion

This closed-loop system is backed by rigorous clinical trials, demonstrating clear biological results:

• 31% increase in deep sleep duration
• 38% improvement in Heart Rate Variability (HRV)
• 22% fewer nighttime awakenings

After landing a three-Shark deal on Shark Tank India under their early brand name, the founders secured a ₹24 crore (~$3 million USD) seed round led by Fireside Ventures alongside Antler India. DUSQ recently crossed the $1 million revenue mark on Kickstarter, making it the fastest Indian health-tech hardware brand to hit that milestone as it begins its international rollout from Pune, New Delhi, and Palo Alto.
