Khetika Is Bringing Farm-Fresh Purity To Everyday Food

India’s food industry is seeing a growing shift towards cleaner ingredients, transparent sourcing and minimally processed products. Khetika is building its business around this changing consumer preference, creating a farm-to-fork food ecosystem focused on unadulterated, preservative-free staples.

Founded by Prithwi Singh, Darshan Krishnamurthy and Raghuveer Allada, Khetika grew from the founders’ earlier experience in agricultural supply chains. Before Khetika, the team built SuperZop, a B2B agri-commerce platform that connected farmers with neighbourhood grocery stores.

While working closely with agricultural produce, the founders noticed a gap between the quality of products at the farm level and what eventually reached consumers. Multiple layers of processing, distribution and packaging could affect the quality and freshness of everyday ingredients.

That observation led to Khetika, which was launched with the idea of bringing better-quality food directly from its source to consumers.

Building A Direct Farm-to-Fork Model

Khetika works directly with farmers across several Indian states, sourcing products from regions known for specific crops and ingredients. This approach allows the company to focus on regional sourcing while reducing dependence on traditional layers of agricultural distribution.

The company has also developed initiatives aimed at supporting farmers through better agricultural practices and knowledge-sharing. Its sourcing network now extends across thousands of farmers and multiple states.

This direct approach forms an important part of Khetika’s clean-label positioning, allowing the brand to focus on where its ingredients come from and how they are processed.

Keeping Processing Closer To The Ingredient

Spices form one of Khetika’s largest product categories. Instead of relying entirely on conventional high-temperature processing, the company uses low-temperature stone grinding for several of its spices.

The idea is simple: processing ingredients more carefully can help retain their natural oils, flavour and characteristics.

Beyond spices, Khetika’s portfolio includes dry fruits, seeds, rice, millets, fresh batters, chutneys and other everyday staples. The company has expanded its range to more than 70 products across different food categories.

From Kirana Stores To Quick Commerce

Khetika follows an omnichannel distribution strategy, combining traditional retail with digital channels.

The brand supplies thousands of neighbourhood kirana stores while also reaching consumers through e-commerce and quick-commerce platforms such as Blinkit and BigBasket. This allows Khetika to position clean-label food as an everyday grocery choice rather than limiting it to premium online shoppers.

The company also uses technology to improve transparency, with product traceability allowing consumers to learn more about the origin of their food.

Building A Larger Clean-Food Business

Khetika has continued to expand its presence in India’s packaged food market, raising $18 million in Series B funding in 2025 to support its next phase of growth.

The company reported ₹247 crore in revenue for FY25 and has set its sights on significantly scaling the business over the coming years.

At its core, Khetika is building around a straightforward proposition: better food begins with better sourcing. By connecting farmers, processing and consumers through one integrated model, the brand is creating a modern food business rooted in the idea of knowing where everyday ingredients come from.
