Decode Age Is Building A Science-Backed Future For Longevity

Ageing has traditionally been measured by the number of years a person has lived. Decode Age is exploring a different lens –  understanding the biological processes associated with ageing and using data to build more personalised approaches to health.
Founded in 2021 by Parth Amin, Darshit Patel and Rakesh Somani, the Bengaluru-based company operates across longevity supplements, biological-age testing and microbiome research.

Where The Idea Began

The founders came from different backgrounds but shared an interest in healthy ageing. Darshit Patel brought a scientific and research perspective, while Rakesh Somani’s experience as an endurance athlete led him deeper into health optimisation. Parth Amin brought technology and business experience to the team.

Together, they began exploring how scientific data could help people understand their health beyond chronological age.
Decode Age was registered in August 2021 and launched its first products later that year. The company initially focused on longevity supplements before expanding into biological-age and gut microbiome testing.

Building Around Data And Science

Decode Age’s approach combines three areas: testing, research and products.

Its testing portfolio includes gut microbiome analysis and biological-age assessments, while its product range includes supplements such as NMN, Ca-AKG, trans-resveratrol and spermidine. The company also operates a next-generation sequencing laboratory in Bengaluru.

The idea is to bring testing and nutrition together rather than treating them as separate parts of a wellness routine. Decode Age uses individual health data as part of its broader approach to personalised longevity.

From Shark Tank To Wider Recognition

Decode Age gained mainstream attention after appearing on Shark Tank India Season 3 in 2024. The founders presented their approach around prevention, prediction and personalisation, explaining the difference between chronological and biological age.

Anupam Mittal eventually invested ₹1 crore for 2.25% equity, along with a 1% royalty until ₹1.5 crore was recovered.

The appearance helped introduce the relatively new longevity category to a much wider Indian audience.

Expanding The Longevity Ecosystem

Decode Age has continued expanding beyond supplements and testing. Its work now includes deeper microbiome research, biological-age testing and collaborations focused on ageing science. The company has also partnered with the Longevity India Initiative at IISc.

In December 2025, Decode Age raised ₹14.48 crore in a pre-Series A round led by Dr Krishna Prasad Chigurupati, Chairman and Managing Director of Granules India. The funding is being used to expand its research, laboratory capabilities and product pipeline.

As longevity science continues to develop, Decode Age is building a business around a simple idea: understanding how we age could become an important part of how we think about long-term health.

Its journey reflects the emergence of longevity as a new category within India’s growing health-tech and wellness ecosystem.
